FAQ

General Questions

What products do you manufacture?

We build medium and low voltage switchgear, power and distribution transformers, and compact substations. The MV switchgear range covers metal-clad, gas-insulated (GIS), air-insulated, vacuum, and ring main units; the LV range covers GGD, GCK, GCS, and MNS panels. Transformers span oil-immersed (S11/S13/S20), dry-type cast-resin (SCB), and amorphous-core units up to 2500 kVA and 35 kV. We also supply European and American type compact substations that combine all three in one

Can you supply the switchgear and the transformer for a project together?

Yes, and it is a core reason buyers come to us. Because the MV switchgear, LV switchgear, and transformers are built on one production base, the complete package shares one engineering team, one quality process, and one shipment. That removes the interface and responsibility gaps that come from sourcing each part from a different vendor, and the equipment arrives coordinated and tested to work together.

Are you a manufacturer or a trading company?

STELLAR operates a direct manufacturing facility in China. Our production base integrates switchgear assembly, precision transformer winding, core stacking, and comprehensive electrical testing under one roof, ensuring full control over project execution.

Technical Questions

Can you build to our single-line diagram and specifications?

Every order is configured from your single-line diagram. We set the voltage class, rated current, fault level, vector group, tap range, protection scheme, and enclosure rating to your requirement, and we build to the standard your project or consultant specifies. Send us the drawing and the ratings, and we engineer the equipment to match.

What standards do you build to, and which component brands do you use?

The switchgear is built to IEC 62271 and the equivalent GB standards, the LV assemblies to IEC 61439, and the transformers to IEC 60076. For the breakers, relays, and other devices inside the switchgear, we fit components from the brand your project approves, including ABB, Siemens, and Schneider, as well as proven domestic equivalents where budget leads.

Do you provide engineering support for substation layout and design?

Yes. Every project we handle runs through a single engineering team—from initial single-line diagram review and load calculations to providing detailed technical drawings and compliance documentation required for project approval.

Quality and Standards

Do you export, and can you build to local utility specifications?

We supply equipment to projects in more than 50 countries and build to international and local utility standards, including specifications such as TNB (Malaysia) and SANS (South Africa) where a project requires them. Routine and type-test reports are provided with each unit so it can be approved for connection to the local network.

How do you ensure equipment reliability before shipment?

Every unit undergoes comprehensive testing in our in-house electrical testing center. This includes voltage withstand tests, partial discharge tests, and load verification. Our QC team documents the results and issues certified test reports with every order.

Ordering and Lead Time

What is the typical lead time for an order?

Standard configurations are typically dispatched within 30 days. For complex custom engineering or project-scale substation packages, production generally requires 45–60 days from order confirmation and drawing approval.

Do you handle international shipping?

Yes. We manage the international shipping documentation and customs clearance support, and we coordinate delivery directly to your project site. We are experienced with FOB, CIF, and DDP terms and ensure your equipment is properly packaged for secure long-distance transport.

After-Sales Support

Do you provide on-site installation and commissioning?

Yes. We can deploy our field service teams to your jobsite for installation supervision, commissioning, relay setting, and operator training. Our engineers are active in 30+ countries to ensure your equipment is brought online safely and correctly.

What kind of after-sales support do you offer?

We offer warranty coverage backed by our factory service network. Our technical support team provides remote troubleshooting assistance with a 24-hour response line post-delivery, ensuring your project stays on the grid.
